Boxing sale at Jacob

Sorry, this post is overdue. I forgot about this until I started transferring pictures back to my reformatted computer.
Anyway, Jacob was having an amazing 50% off sale during boxing week and I went to check out the sale after work.

* NOTE: The prices are even cheaper now. I linked the items to the website if you are interested. The prices I listed here in the post are the prices during the boxing sale.

#1: Blue Cowlneck Sweater
(Available online)

Price: $59 -> $29.50
Size: XS/S
Pros: I liked the color and material. You can basically throw this on with anything casual.
Cons: Even though it is supposed to be oversized, it was too big and looked like a poncho on me. The side looked especially weird on me.
Decision: Did not buy.

#2: Beaded Collar Blouse
(Availabe online)

Check out the collar XD
Price: $69 -> $34.50 (even cheaper now)
Size: XS
Pros: I loved how this was so cute, yet still classy. Also really loved the little rhinestone beads at the top and that it is sheer. And white is a classic color that cannot go wrong.
Cons: I had been eyeing this piece but I was hesitant to buy it before. Adding to the fact that the blouse is white, it is a chiffony material, so it is easily stained - especially the collar, where make up can easily be rubbed onto. Also, it was slightly a bit bigger than I'd like.
Decision: Purchased, and loving it!

Aside from this purchase, I have been on a coat/jacket hunt. I only had two pieces of warm outerwear for the cold weather. One is a puffy, purple bomber jacket, and the other is a bright red peacoat. Both can be hard to match, since their colors are so bold, so I wanted to find something with a neutral tone.
I will post about my coat/jacket hunt soon =D

Post-exam shopping

After a stressful exam, there is no better way to make yourself feel better than to go shopping... right? Haha.
Here are a couple of the things I've tried on today. I also went to Aeropostale, but I'll save that for another post so I don't make this post too long.

First store: Club Monaco.

#1: Stripe Sweater
(from Club Monaco)

Price: $89.50 -> $59
Size: XS
Pros: Nice rosy color in a very soft material. I liked how it had a little bit of "sheerness" to it.
Cons: Sleeves were too long on me, but most of all, this sweater was nothing too special.
Decision: Did not buy.

 #2: Sleeveless Top
(from Club Monaco)
similar from Marc Jacob - here

Price: On sale for I think $59? Don't remember.
Size: S
Pros: I liked the color and how it looked on the side.
Cons: Small was the smallest size left available and it was too big. The shirt looks like a bag from the front. This is my opinion, but I feel that the sale associates there were not very honest. They said the top fits very nicely on me and it looks perfect. This top was too big for me and the fit is definitely not perfect.
Decision: Did not buy.

#3: Bow Tie Blouse
(from Club Monaco)

Price: $89?? Oops, I forgot to take note of the prices of this top too.
Size: XS
Pros: I saw this on the rack and I had to try it on. You can't see from my crappy pictures, but there are little dots all over the blouse and it looks really cute. I love the bow and the color too.
Cons: The sleeves were long (but that was expected and that wasn't too bad), but what bothered me more was how wide they were on the arms so they looked baggy. Maybe I'll come back and grab this when it goes on sale... since I can't justify spending almost a hundred bucks on this.
Decision: Did not buy.

Then... off to Bedo. This was actually my first time in this store. Haha.

#4: Sleeveless Ivory Ruffle Blouse
(from Bedo)

Price: $64.90 -> $49.90

Size: S
Pros: Surprisingly, this small fits pretty nicely. I love the ruffles and how feminine this looks. Also, because it is white, it is easy to match with anything and everything.
Cons: Super staticy for some reason. I already have two tops very similar to this one (in beige and in black), so I don't know if I should buy another one.

Decision: Considering.

#5:  Short-Sleeve Ivory Blouse
(from Bedo)

Price: $49.90

Size: S
Pros: I liked that it was sheer. And the white dots all over it was really cute.
Cons: The wide sleeve opening was awkward on me.

Decision: Did not buy.

*********************************************

Surprisingly, I did not go crazy and splurge on clothing today.
However... I bought shoes instead LOL. Maybe I'll talk about that in another entry?

I'm still debating over that white blouse. Although it looks pretty nice, it looks almost the same as the two I already have... And it is white... which means I will easily get stains on it because of how clumsy I am.

I'll update again soon.
Hope you guys are enjoying your holiday shopping as much as I am XD
